Have you been contacted by a company offering a FREE PV Solar health check?

Every day we hear from our customers who say they have been contacted by a company offering a FREE PV health check, they claim that “Solar Age UK Ltd” has gone into administration and stopped trading and their system may not be working properly?

Some of these rogue companies say they are working for the MCS or OFGEM.

The reasons they will use are:

• “your existing system is not performing”
• “if you do not have free health check you will not receive anymore Feed in Tariff payments”,
• “your system could stop working”,
• “your inverter is out of warranty” and the list goes on.

Things you can do:

• Complain – if they are contacting you without permission, ask they how they got your details and ask to complain to their data protection or GDPR officer
• Please report it – if you feel that their practices are sharp or intimidating, report them to your local council trading standards department
