Ground mounted array

A ground mounted 4 kWp PV solar array installed in November 2011 using Sharp monocrystalline panels on an aluminium frame. Solar Age helped with the planning application and the Feed in Tariff application process. We used a SMA Sunny Boy inverter with this array.

Using three concrete strip foundations the frames where assembled facing direct south at a 30 degree angle. The natural slope in the field was off due south so the array had to be cut in at an angle. Full planning permission was required and we provided the drawings, plans, design and access statement and data sheets for the equipment we used.

We now offer an alternative to the concrete strip bases by piling metal supports into the ground.
